DESCRIPTION

A vendor is sought to provide comprehensive theatre arts, drama, and acting training for incarcerated youth in California, with a focus on serving underserved populations. The program aims to introduce participants to foundational acting and drama skills, fostering creativity, communication, collaboration, and positive personal development through structured artistic expression.

The selected vendor will supply qualified teaching instructors to coach and mentor youth and young adults in theatre arts, drama, and acting services. The curriculum may incorporate elements of music and dance as part of the theatrical productions. Regular instruction will consist of one to two rehearsal sessions per week, each lasting approximately one to two hours. Each training cohort will culminate in a 30 to 45-minute theatre performance or staged showcase, presented to peers, staff, and/or invited family members.

This initiative provides incarcerated youth with an opportunity to actively participate in the performing arts and utilize a creative outlet to develop valuable life skills.
