A dining services operation in Virginia is seeking a vendor to supply temperature monitoring equipment and software for its dining centers. The solution must feature customizable food item tracking tailored to each location and utilize probe and sensor data to monitor food safety. When temperatures are outside safe ranges, the software should prompt users to input corrective actions and provide customizable alert notifications according to user tiers, with the ability to silence alarms during downtime.
The system should offer a configurable dashboard that consolidates information from any installed probes and sensors into a single interface. It must support individual logins for staff in management areas, as well as shared logins for student and employee use on tablets. User-based controls are required to manage access to specific dining centers or units. Additional required capabilities include production monitoring to track cooking and cooling processes within kitchens and the ability to retain historical data for at least 60 days.
Vendors are expected to detail their data storage, backup strategies for system failures, and customer support expectations, including a risk assessment approach. The contract will be for a one-year period.
