The government authority located in Kansas, Missouri seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive technical assistance and capacity-building services focused on enhancing the sustainability and effectiveness of neighborhood nonprofits. Required services include support to build organizational capacity, training on strategies for neighborhood community engagement, and assistance with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and retention systems.
Vendors will provide guidance on establishing collaborative partnerships with local stakeholders, strengthening financial oversight and organizational processes, and increasing both community engagement and volunteer participation. Additional responsibilities include training and coaching for leadership development among nonprofit staff, board members, and community leaders, as well as improving governance practices and supporting capacity-building for emerging community leaders.
The selected partner will also offer support in the development and improvement of financial policies and procedures, including grant financial accounting, and provide training on financial oversight, internal controls, and basic financial management. The deadline for vendor questions is March 19, 2026.
