The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice for qualified contractors to support the Syracuse VBA Hanley 5th Floor Construction project. This initiative involves the renovation of approximately 2,384 square feet on the 5th floor of the James M. Hanley Federal Building, located at 100 S Clinton St, Syracuse, NY 13261. The primary objective is to create a space tailored to the needs of the Veterans Benefits Agency within the facility.
Contractors will be expected to provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to carry out the scope of work as dictated by the provided design documents, drawings, and specifications. Required competencies include expertise in various construction disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and asbestos-containing material (ACM) management, as well as general repairs, renovations, and alterations. Proficiency in renovating occupied federal facilities is highly regarded.
Interested firms are asked to submit company information (including business size and relevant certifications), a record of relevant construction or renovation projects completed in the past ten years, specialized experience in federal building renovations, project details, and familiarity with Syracuse-area suppliers and subcontractors.
