DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Washington seeks a vendor to provide switch monitoring services for their rail or transportation infrastructure. The selected solution must be adaptable or capable of supporting future integration with a Track Circuit Monitoring system. Scope of work includes design, procurement, installation, integration, and testing of the switch monitoring solution, with oversight from Agency Oversight engineering teams.

Remote access will be provided for maintenance and engineering personnel to enable real-time monitoring and troubleshooting. Vendors are required to supply relevant software on jump drives for easy access and use by staff. The implemented monitoring system must deliver remote, real-time visibility into switch conditions—such as number of throws, throw times, voltage/current transients, and error counts—for operational and signal maintainers. This aims to support early detection of issues and more effective predictive maintenance.

The contract will span one year, and all vendor questions should be submitted by March 12, 2026.
