A project is underway to secure videography and promotional documentation services for the 2026 sugar bush camp and activities highlighting Anishinaabe maple traditions in Michigan. The selected vendor will be responsible for capturing high-quality video coverage of the sugar bush camp, scheduled for mid-March 2026, which features both a modern small-scale sugar bush operation and a traditional Anishinaabe approach. Activities include tool making and maple sugar production, providing a comprehensive overview of these cultural practices.
The scope of work requires the production of a promotional video approximately 8 minutes in length, detailing the full experience of the sugar bush camp. Additionally, the videographer will document 1–2 other significant related events, such as the tapping ceremony, birch bark harvest, or the Feast of the Trees ceremony at the season’s end. The videographer is expected to attend a minimum of two days of the camp and two sessions of other related activities to ensure thorough and engaging documentation. This effort aims to support and advance the promotion of Anishinaabe sugar bush traditions and their importance to the maple industry.
