The selected vendor will provide subdivision and development engineering review services to the Bernalillo, New Mexico government authority. Responsibilities include understanding and applying the county's current subdivision regulations, zoning ordinances, and flood damage prevention regulations, as well as reviewing terrain, infrastructure design, and flood mitigation plans submitted by private property owners at all project phases.
The vendor will participate in on-site inspections of subdivisions and land developments, recommending engineering approval conditions and verifying compliance with approved requirements for infrastructure and drainage. Additional duties include attending meetings with developers, planning and zoning staff, and potentially the planning and zoning commission, as well as serving as an expert witness if necessary. Vendors must provide sub-contractor licensing agreements, an emergency management plan for review services, and a written Quality Assurance Program from any subcontractor firms used.
