The state of Massachusetts is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive, multi-year student support systems to assist schools in addressing the diverse needs of their student populations. The selected vendor will offer ongoing professional learning and training—delivered both in-person and virtually—along with on-site and virtual technical assistance and consultation services. These efforts aim to bolster teams as they design and implement robust student support structures.
Key responsibilities include proactive assessment of students’ strengths and needs in academic, social-emotional, behavioral, physical, and mental wellbeing domains, as well as ensuring strong connection to school. The vendor will support effective integration of the new IEP process with wider student support practices, specifically to ensure appropriate identification and support of students with disabilities. Technology will be leveraged to consolidate data, enabling staff to track student progress and needs, either through existing school systems or a platform included in this procurement.
Vendors are also expected to utilize data analytics to identify trends at multiple levels—classroom, grade, school, and district—and pay special attention to specific student groups such as students with disabilities and multilingual learners. Additional responsibilities include developing tier 1 support expectations and a streamlined referral process for cases where additional support may be necessary.
