Town of Cary
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
A government authority in North Carolina is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive structure inspection services. The selected consultant will be responsible for updating the inventory of structures, prioritizing the inspection schedule, performing pedestrian structure inspections based on priority and budget, and identifying bridge needs. Additionally, the scope includes designing bridge repairs, reviewing and leveraging existing inspection reports, and establishing a new four-year inspection cycle.
Further responsibilities include updating the GIS inventory and delivering digital inspection reports for each structure. These reports should incorporate photographs, life expectancy assessments, and maintenance recommendations with estimated costs, all formatted consistently with prior inspections. The vendor must also produce an executive summary of the inspection findings, create a dashboard to help the town identify bridge repair or replacement candidates, and include visual summaries such as maps or graphics to assist staff in prioritizing focus.
The consultant will receive a list from staff of structures not currently on record that should be added to the inspection cycle, ensuring a comprehensive and current evaluation of all relevant assets.
