Street Extension Service

The City of Hillsboro, OR is seeking a qualified contractor to undertake a comprehensive street extension and infrastructure construction project. The scope includes roadway widening with the addition of curbs, gutters, curb ramps, bike lanes, driveways, and sidewalks to enhance transportation capacity and accessibility.

The project entails the construction of new water lines, meters, and various utilities and related structures, as well as a storm conveyance system and stormwater treatment facility to improve local drainage. Additional work includes constructing retaining walls, installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) and roadway illumination, and placing conduits and junction boxes in preparation for future signal interconnect needs. Upgrades also involve new signage, pavement striping, extension of sanitary sewer laterals, and reconstruction or overlay of existing pavement.

Major features of the project consist of constructing a bridge over Rock Creek, building a flood overflow channel, and completing landscaping improvements as detailed in project plans. All work must be completed in line with the provided specifications within a one-year contract period. Interested parties must submit any project-related questions by February 20, 2026.
