This Request for Information (RFI) is issued to gather feedback from industry stakeholders and academic institutions on the strategic recruiter program service related to the hiring of returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) as university recruiters. The initiative seeks input on two potential operational paths: implementing a new centralized contracting model for the strategic recruitment (STRAT) program, or maintaining the current structure wherein universities continue to directly employ STRAT recruiters.
Under the current structure, each participating university hires a part-time employee to serve as a Peace Corps recruiter, with the requirement that the individual must be an RPCV. The recruiter is expected to work 20 hours per week throughout the academic year, amounting to a total of 940 hours annually. While the recruiter is employed and managed by university staff, programmatic direction and guidance are provided by an assigned Peace Corps representative.
The information gathered through this RFI will inform future decisions regarding the optimal approach to recruiting RPCVs as university-based Peace Corps recruiters.
