An Ontario organization is seeking a qualified consultant to lead the development of its Strategic Plan for the period 2026–2030. The consultant will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive, evidence-based planning process that incorporates the needs and perspectives of clients, staff, partners, and the wider community.
Key responsibilities will include developing a detailed project plan with timelines and consultation methodology, attending regular meetings with the Steering Committee, and conducting a thorough review of internal documents, previous strategic plans, and performance data. The scope of work also encompasses sector analysis at both the regional and provincial levels, analysis of funding trends, as well as a review of best practices in addiction and community mental health services.
The consultant will facilitate various engagement activities, such as interviews or focus groups with staff, clients, leadership, and board members, along with consultation sessions involving external partners, funders, and community stakeholders. Surveys—both internal and external—may also be administered to gather input. The final deliverables will include identification of key themes, challenges, opportunities, and strategic priorities, facilitation of planning sessions with leadership and the board, and drafting of the organizational mission, vision, values, and strategic directions as needed.
