The department is seeking a consulting partner to provide expert guidance in strategic direction, long-term sustainability, fundraising, and partnership development. The selected consultant will conduct strategic framing and market analysis to inform the department’s future direction. A key focus is to ensure that fundraising and partnership efforts are values-aligned, diversified, and structured for enduring sustainability.
Responsibilities include mapping opportunities to maximize partnership impact while respecting indigenous protocols and ethical funding practices. The consultant will deliver a comprehensive and actionable five-year fundraising strategy and operational roadmap, helping the department to avoid over-reliance on any one funding category through risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, the scope includes developing a funder alignment matrix to rank potential supporters by gift potential, values alignment, and likelihood of success, as well as identifying high-potential prospects consistent with the department's values and strategic priorities. A tailored fundraising strategy will be created for each identified revenue stream.
