KEY REQUIREMENTS

Advanced university degree in International Development, Political Science, International Relations, Foreign Affairs, Business Management, Economics, Social Sciences, Management Science, or a related field
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in resource mobilization and/or program management
UN field experience or experience in a country mission office
Prior experience working with international donors, bilateral donors, and/or the UN development system
Proven track record in advocacy for resource mobilization involving a variety of stakeholders in different contexts
Demonstrated experience in managing external stakeholder relationships, including donor and implementing partner relationships
Excellent research, drafting and reporting skills
Fluency in English is required
Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset

DESCRIPTION

A New York-based agency seeks a qualified vendor to provide strategic advice and engagement consulting services. The selected consultant will advise and contribute to the agency’s evolving strategy and positioning in a rapidly changing funding and political landscape. Key responsibilities include supporting the agency to deepen engagement with both internal and external stakeholders, aiming to secure increased co-investment and foster greater collaboration with other institutions.

The consultant will also play a critical role in strategic positioning, particularly around opportunities to attract new financing and catalyze investments that contribute to systemic transformation. The engagement includes direct involvement with institutional investment leaders to create and facilitate collaborative opportunities with relevant entities. The contract will be for a period of one year.
