The government authority located in Frederick, Maryland is seeking a vendor to provide stop loss insurance services. The selected vendor will offer coverage designed to pay eligible medical claims that exceed a predefined cap for current employees and retirees. In addition to stop loss insurance, the provider must also ensure worker's compensation insurance is in place for all employees engaged in the covered work, unless those employees are otherwise insured.
Vendors will be required to work with census data, as well as handle medical claims data, including information regarding paid medical and vision claims and enrollment figures. The contract duration will be for one year. Interested vendors should note that all questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by April 8, 2026, and a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for April 1, 2026.
