The selected vendor will provide a comprehensive space data network backbone solution. The project encompasses the integration of commercial cloud management tools for Mission Operations Centre (MOC) service orchestration, the adaptation of commercial AI and machine learning analytics for network performance monitoring, and the deployment of commercial data visualization platforms to create a unified operational picture. The solution will be deployed in a hybrid environment, utilizing both on-premises and cloud-based hardware and software for the provisioning, orchestration, control, and management of network transport services.
The chosen contractor will serve as the primary interface to process user service requests and ensure end-to-end service delivery. Responsibilities include systems engineering and integration to achieve enterprise interoperability, onboarding and integrating new systems and users, and ensuring technical and architectural governance. Additional tasks involve managing commercial procurement with necessary system modifications, lifecycle management, technology refreshes, pLEO provider services management, network performance monitoring, orchestration of space transport network connectivity, user onboarding, information assurance processes, sustainment, and other related activities. The contract will span five years.
