The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking qualified vendors to provide proprietary software support and certified maintenance services for its Hyperfine Swoop MRI System. This notice is for market research purposes to identify sources capable of delivering essential software updates, technical support, and preventative maintenance for this specialized equipment.

The Hyperfine Swoop Portable MRI system is integral to NIST's advanced metrology and research initiatives, relying on proprietary software for deep-learning image reconstruction, system diagnostics, and sequence management. The required services include ongoing access to software patches, firmware updates, and enhancements to AI-driven reconstruction algorithms. Additionally, the provider must be able to perform OEM-certified biannual preventative maintenance and emergency repairs using manufacturer-approved diagnostic tools. All replacement parts, such as the 8-channel head coil and specialized shielding components, must be OEM-certified to ensure compliance with FDA-cleared performance specifications.
