SUMMARY

The U.S. Government intends to award a sole-source contract to Pratt & Whitney Component Solutions for a critical turbofan engine component for Arnold Air Force Base.

DESCRIPTION

The Government intends to negotiate and award a firm–fixed–price purchase order on a sole–source basis to Pratt & Whitney Component Solutions (PWCS) for the procurement of a turbofan engine component. This component is a Commercial–Off–The–Shelf (COTS) item essential to supporting critical operations at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.

This sole-source determination is based on market research that established PWCS as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), making them the only known provider capable of fulfilling the Government's requirements. Other sources were evaluated, but found uncompetitive in both price and delivery lead time. While this is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties with the capability to meet the requirement may express their interest; all submissions received within fifteen days of the notice will be considered at the Government's discretion.
