The government authority in Brighton, Colorado seeks a vendor to provide a comprehensive solar feasibility study service. The selected provider will evaluate existing electrical infrastructure, structural capacity, and site conditions at each facility. Design documents must be developed to identify necessary upgrades to electrical service, distribution systems, and supporting infrastructure for future solar PV installations.
Scope of work includes conducting site assessments, structural evaluations, electrical system assessments, and solar production modeling using industry-standard tools. The vendor will analyze facility energy loads based on utility data, perform interconnection screening and coordination with the serving utility, and develop both conceptual and construction-level designs. Guidance on permitting and code compliance, coordination with stakeholders and facility staff, and development of cost estimates and financial models are also required.
Recommendations regarding project phasing, storage integration, and scalability should be provided. Questions regarding this RFP must be submitted by May 1, 2026. The contract will be for one year, and a recommended pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 29, 2026.
