DESCRIPTION
This RFP is for the provision of situational awareness, tracking, and messaging portal services. The required solution must offer real-time tracking of personnel with handheld devices, land-moving vehicles, and potentially additional assets. The platform must be a SaaS/web-based solution accessible globally via internet connectivity.
A user-friendly graphical interface is required, featuring capabilities to review alerts and events, and to configure, display, and manage various points of interest. Additional requirements include a smart phone tracking and messaging application for Android devices. The app should display speed, heading or direction, altitude, position, and the last communication time to the web portal.
Moreover, the application must allow users to trigger emergency alerts by shaking the device, which then sends the alert to the portal. The solution should also support bi-directional messaging between the smart phones and the web portal.
