The State of Colorado is seeking a cloud-hosted Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solution to strengthen the security of its digital services and enhance user experience for residents accessing state networks, applications, and services. The desired platform should support broad integration across diverse applications, offering a modern, robust, and user-friendly authentication system that adheres to federal guidelines such as those outlined in the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace.
Key requirements include provisioning and configuration of secure, cloud-hosted production, quality assurance, and development environments, with preference given to solutions authorized under FedRAMP to ensure compliance with federal security and risk management standards. The scope of work also involves installation and baseline configuration of the core identity platform—incorporating SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle management—along with the establishment of secure connectivity and access control mechanisms, including administrative roles and role-based access control.
This initiative aims to promote cybersecurity best practices, prevent identity fraud, and preserve the integrity of critical state systems. The contract term for this project is one year, with opportunity for interested vendors to participate in a pre-bid meeting and submit questions by the specified deadlines.
