The government of Ontario is seeking a qualified vendor to modernize and standardize its SharePoint Online environment. The project will involve conducting a comprehensive review of existing SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Online systems, focusing on site provisioning, approval processes, and life cycle management for content retention and archiving.
The selected vendor will be responsible for establishing robust governance controls, including the creation of site templates, management of permissions, policy development, and restricted sharing settings. The scope also includes configuring SharePoint Online to securely share large PDF files, videos, and presentations, while addressing current inconsistencies and governance gaps resulting from uncontrolled site and Teams channel creation.
Additional responsibilities include developing a migration strategy for content, lists, libraries, metadata, workflows, and permissions, as well as standardizing SharePoint Online as the enterprise platform to support future digital transformation initiatives. The vendor will also play a key role in enhancing user adoption through training and documentation, and configuring core SharePoint features as required.
