Senior Nutrition Program Meal Service

The government authority in Escondido, California is seeking a qualified contractor to provide meal services for its senior nutrition program. The selected vendor will support the program through professional meal planning, preparation, and delivery services that are reliable, compliant with applicable regulations, and responsive to the operational needs of a publicly funded senior meal program.

Scope of work includes development of nutritionally balanced menus in collaboration with agency staff and in accordance with AIS guidelines, with menus submitted for review and approval before implementation. The contractor will prepare an average of approximately 115 congregate meals each weekday, Monday through Friday, and must be able to increase production for special meals and events.

The contractor will also provide up to four special meal events per year, which may require approximately 150 meals per event, including holiday and special occasion meals. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for ordering, purchasing, and paying for all raw food items and consumable supplies used in meal preparation. The contract term is one year, and questions are due by May 22, 2026.
