DESCRIPTION

This RFP seeks a qualified vendor to provide third-party administration (TPA) services for self-insured workers' compensation claims. The selected TPA will be responsible for delivering accurate, efficient, and compliant workers' compensation claims adjustment services, ensuring all activities adhere to statutory requirements.

The TPA is expected to partner proactively with the agency, focusing on reducing the human and financial impact of employee injuries. Responsibilities will include prompt payment processing within mandated timeframes, immediate and accurate system updates for payments, reserve changes, and file closings. The TPA will establish and manage reserves to consider all potential payments, including expenses, and ensure that claim personnel handle all tasks that can be done as effectively and economically as defense counsel.

Additionally, the TPA will conduct an initial evaluation of the agency’s current workers' compensation policies, procedures, and forms, subsequently providing recommendations for improving claims handling operations.
