A government authority in Austin, Texas is seeking a vendor to provide self-insured dental plan services covering active and retired agency employees as well as their eligible dependents. The plan must offer access to both in-network and out-of-network dentists, supporting flexibility for members to select providers according to their needs.
The selected vendor will be responsible for administering comprehensive customer service, including a toll-free telephone line accessible to both English and Spanish speakers and relay service support. Customer service hours are required from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Central Time. The scope includes transition and implementation support, open enrollment facilitation, account management, and claims administration, which encompasses both electronic and paper dental claim processing, and the ability for members to file claims electronically.
Vendors must also provide quarterly and annual reporting, conduct quarterly internal desk audits, and administer the dental plan in full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by March 19, 2026.
