SUMMARY

Utah seeks a comprehensive school nutrition management software with payment, menu, inventory, and student account features.

DESCRIPTION

The State of Utah is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive school nutrition management software solution. The desired system should encompass features including point of service transactions, menu planning, inventory control, financial accounting, direct certification, and support for managing free and reduced meal applications. Additional functionality should include production records management, special diet tracking, and a user-friendly lunch fee portal for families.

The software is expected to offer flexible payment options such as credit and debit cards, enable recurring payment setups, allow parents to transfer funds between student accounts, and facilitate refunds. Seamless data integration is required, with support for multiple daily imports and exports between PowerSchool and the main program. The application should function offline and sync data once internet connectivity is restored. It must also track various meal programs, enable secure student identification at the POS using different methods, and allow for transaction voids with audit tracking.

Further requirements include the ability to restrict a la carte purchases, differentiate between reimbursable and non-reimbursable meals, provide an intuitive online application process for parents on any device, access to prior years’ information, automatic updates for student enrollment and eligibility at the POS, and instant status updates system-wide. Vendors interested in this opportunity must ensure all questions are submitted by January 26, 2026.
