The agency seeks a partner organization to develop, implement, maintain, and host Rural Health Forward, a state-wide learning management platform to serve as a training and resource hub for healthcare professionals in rural and frontier communities. The selected vendor will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive statewide needs assessment to identify the education and training requirements of rural health professionals.
The platform should be secure, user-friendly, and compliant with credentialing and accessibility standards, while also addressing connectivity challenges in areas with limited broadband. Key project elements include creating an accessible LMS, developing evidence-based curricula, and establishing innovative strategies for hands-on and collaborative learning. The solution must integrate mechanisms for governance, data-driven evaluation, accessibility, and long-term sustainability to provide equitable education regardless of employer affiliation.
Additionally, vendors are expected to propose strategies for high-quality, evidence-based content development and for securing continuing education credentialing, or to partner with organizations that can provide continuing education credits. The platform must support hosting and data access requirements, ensuring integration with a state data repository via methods such as API or flat files, with flexibility in data manipulation and dashboard development using platforms like Microsoft Power BI, ESRI, and Tableau. The contract period will be one year.
