DESCRIPTION

This Request for Information seeks input from vendors on trusted foundations systems to enhance and create foundations for Software Assurance (SwA). The goal is to achieve comprehensive software assurance across the application space using a holistic approach that addresses all layers of the supply chain and enterprise—including governance, partnerships, processes, standards, and education.

Areas of interest include SwA technologies that address gaps in current tools, specifically aiming to improve precision, recall, scalability, and assessment capabilities. The RFI also covers prototype software assurance demonstrations and explores trusted, secure, and resilient computational systems. Specific topics include challenges with current processor designs and computer architectures related to trustworthiness, tools, and methodologies for securing integrated circuits and systems from malicious threats, as well as the development of new architectures to ensure data integrity and code verification.

Additionally, the RFI emphasizes research into the use of AI in trusted systems to facilitate human–machine teaming, improve automation, and enhance decision-making. This includes leveraging AI to aid in the design, evaluation, and continual assurance of learning-enabled components for trustworthy and resilient infrastructure.
