DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Alabama is seeking information from vendors capable of providing project management and short and intermediate effector services focused on layered defense solutions. This effort aims to identify potential sources with the capability to deliver advanced air defense systems to protect dismounted maneuver forces over near, mid, and long-term timeframes.

Solutions should be interoperable with integrated air and missile defense battle command systems for maneuver command and control (C2) and be compatible with other C2 and supporting equipment. The system software must support independent operation of the full suite of capabilities and facilitate both vehicle-mounted and dismounted deployment scenarios. Advanced features such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, automated decision support, and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) models for system characterization and validation are required.

Preferred capabilities include human-machine integration elements like remote operations, robotics, and graphical user interfaces, as well as combinations of active and passive sensing appropriate to the weapon's range. The solutions should align with the government's intellectual property and data rights objectives and be operable from both traditional vehicles and agile robotic platforms without requiring full system integration.
