The municipality in British Columbia is seeking information from vendors regarding a modern, mobile-friendly municipal ticketing solution designed to enhance and complement its current paper-based ticketing systems. The intended solution should be user-centric, built on a secure and scalable technology platform, and capable of managing multiple corporations or departments independently.
Key requirements include the ability to support both electronic and existing printed ticket books, as well as offline ticketing and queuing capabilities for use in remote locations. The system should allow users to view their tickets, ticket status, and history, and provide various online payment options, including credit and debit card payments. The solution must also handle ticket voiding or cancellation under specific criteria, reflect applicable fees accurately (such as regular, early or late payments, penalties, and adjudication surcharges), and provide reminders and notifications to users.
Access management features for administrators are required, including role and permission controls, as well as the ability to assign screening officers for dispute resolution. The system should enable ad hoc ticket amount adjustments following adjudication and allow capturing and updating payment statuses, even for payments processed outside the system. Vendors are invited to submit responses to this request for information and may submit questions regarding the RFI by January 9, 2026.
