An organization in Florida is seeking information regarding a vendor-hosted, software as a service (SaaS) emergency mass notification system designed to facilitate rapid and clear communication with employees during natural disasters or emergency incidents.
The desired system should integrate seamlessly with daily automated uploads from the organization’s human resources system, while also allowing for routine manual uploads of staff augmentation contractors. It should operate from its own authoritative identity store to prevent interruptions in communication, ensuring system functionality even if the HR system or internal network is unavailable. The system must deliver reliable service during disasters and not rely on a single geographical region or data center.
Additional requirements include allowing non-admin users to manage and prioritize their own contact information, supporting both templated and ad hoc messaging, and enabling SMS notifications of at least 450 characters without truncation. The system should also feature robust polling capabilities, enabling messages and surveys to be sent to all contacts or select groups.
