The government is seeking information from vendors who can provide a customizable Global Distribution System (GDS) capable of supporting travel reservations and related services for multiple facilities in Virginia. The GDS should facilitate hotel reservations, secure flight itineraries and tickets via a direct connectivity reservation system, and offer advanced features such as seat selection.
The system must be adaptable for future customization to meet evolving requirements and should process travel arrangements efficiently and securely. A secure connection between the government’s networks and the contractor's network hosting the GDS is essential for operational integrity. The desktop software component should deliver an intuitive user interface for government personnel to access all GDS services, while supporting integration with existing internal and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications through direct interfacing.
All transaction processing should be managed by facilities on the contractor’s network infrastructure. This RFI aims to identify providers with robust, scalable, and secure GDS solutions that can be tailored to government specifications.
