SUMMARY

Seeking geotechnical field and laboratory services for soil, rock, and waterborne exploration and testing in Galveston, Texas.

DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Galveston, Texas is requesting information from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive geotechnical field and laboratory services. The scope of work includes performing subsurface exploration through soil and rock borings, with activities potentially taking place both on land and in aquatic environments such as lakes, rivers, and coastal areas.

For waterborne exploration, contractors must have the capability to utilize specialized drilling methods, including marine drilling rigs, barges, or other appropriate equipment suitable for aquatic conditions. In addition to field exploration, the selected provider will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing on collected soil and rock samples. All laboratory testing must adhere to ASTM standards or other government-specified test methods and may include analyses such as moisture content, Atterberg limits, grain size analysis, unconfined compressive strength, and compaction testing.

These services will support the organization's ongoing missions within the District's area of operations. Vendors with demonstrated experience in both terrestrial and aquatic geotechnical investigations are encouraged to respond.
