SUMMARY

Maryland agency seeks information on replacing its DNS, DHCP, and IPAM platform with modern, integrated solutions.

DESCRIPTION

A Maryland agency is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding the replacement of its current Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM) platform. The agency is interested in modern, integrated solutions that combine DNS, DHCP, and IPAM capabilities within a single or modular platform.

Key technical requirements include robust support for both IPv4 and IPv6, DNSSEC, RPZ, DNS load balancing, DNS firewall features, and role-based access control with auditing. Vendors should provide solutions that offer comprehensive logging, reporting, and analytics tools, including passive DNS and the ability to log and retain all DNS and DHCP transactions both locally and through real-time feeds to syslog gateways such as Splunk. The platform should feature advanced monitoring of service availability and system health, proactive alerting, and integration with SIEM, NAC, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

Additional requirements include API-based automation (such as RESTful APIs), high availability (HA) and failover capabilities, support for container environments and microservices, and the ability to monitor both appliances and services with integration to existing monitoring platforms. DNS load balancing or traffic control for specific names, akin to features offered by current DNS, DHCP, and IPAM DTC platforms, is also necessary. The planned contract period is one year, and interested vendors are requested to submit all questions by January 23, 2026.
