Cannabis Control Commission
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking information on solutions for digital agent badges and medical patient identification services. The goal is to implement digital identification cards (DIDs) that support the commission’s mission and regulatory requirements while reducing costs associated with card production and mailing, improving operational efficiency, and minimizing the environmental impact of physical plastic cards.
The preferred solution should make digital IDs the primary option, while also retaining the capability to issue printed versions for certain use cases. Key requirements include ease of use and secure access for constituents such as agents, patients, caregivers, and commission staff. The selected solution should also encompass the development, implementation, and management of the digital ID program. Interested parties are encouraged to address the commission's needs for both digital and limited physical card options. All questions pertaining to this RFI must be submitted by March 6, 2026.
