The state of Virginia is seeking information from vendors regarding the implementation of a Common Operations Release Environment utilizing Helm and Infrastructure as Code principles. This initiative aims to develop a cost-effective, Configuration as a Service-centric platform that will deliver a bundled agency operations environment while adhering to requirements from the Department of War, the Intelligence Community, and agency-specific IT and cybersecurity standards.
The proposed environment should integrate collaboration tools, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines. It should provide Platform as a Service capabilities, with a focus on technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift, monitoring solutions like Grafana and Elastic, and comprehensive code and security testing tools. Additional functional requirements include self-service provisioning for DevOps environments, developer desktops, spaces for evaluation and experimentation, machine learning operations support, and enterprise messaging solutions.
