The State of California is requesting information from vendors regarding a capital improvement database system designed to centralize project tracking and management. The desired software solution should enable project managers, stakeholders, and other authorized personnel to review and update the status of various capital and managed projects within a single, unified platform. Flexibility in system deployment is encouraged, including cloud-based, hosted, hybrid, or other delivery models, and respondents are asked to detail the scalability and adaptability of their solutions.
Essential system features include the ability to track project schedules, milestones, budgets, and expenditures, with role-based access controls ensuring appropriate data access. The platform should provide comprehensive reporting and dashboard functionalities for both management and executive oversight, as well as a public-facing dashboard to share select project information externally. Integration capabilities are important, with support for APIs to connect with existing systems, and the solution should operate seamlessly across both desktop and mobile devices. Single sign-on capability—preferably with Azure Entra—is highly desirable.
Vendors are invited to submit clarifying questions by February 25, 2026.
