SUMMARY

California seeks an ad hoc reporting solution with advanced query, visualization, and SSO integration features.

DESCRIPTION

The State of California is seeking information from qualified vendors for an ad hoc reporting solution with advanced query, visualization, and SSO integration capabilities. The desired solution should offer users a clear and intuitive interface for inputting or selecting multiple parameter values, such as text boxes, date pickers, and dropdown lists, which correspond to specific data types and defined values. The system must include validation for user input against set data types and constraints, providing clear error messaging for invalid entries.

Key features include a graphical user interface with drag-and-drop functionality for building queries and reports, generating and displaying the corresponding SQL code in a read-only panel, and utilizing iconography to distinguish between different types of attributes and measures. The solution should allow users to define parameters within SQL queries, modify and preview reports before execution, and filter values using search boxes in data entry fields. Reporting capabilities must also support the formatting of headers and footers, query summaries, sectioning, crosstabs, and replaying scheduled reports on demand. Additionally, the system should be capable of producing multi-colored data visualization charts for up to four variables and enable users to share reports and queries with others.

Integration with Caltrans Single Sign-On is a requirement. Vendors are invited to submit their questions regarding this request no later than January 20, 2026.
