DESCRIPTION

The agency seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive retail operations partner services for all retail and merchandising sales outlets within a premier multi-use venue in British Columbia. The selected operator will be responsible for the ongoing management and optimization of retail outlets over an extended term, aiming to grow revenue and enhance the overall fan experience while aligning with public-sector values.

Key responsibilities include optimizing product selection, store placement, staffing, and merchandising strategies to boost revenue per attendee across diverse event types such as professional sports, concerts, international competitions, and global tournaments. The operator will leverage tailored merchandising for specific events, utilize data-driven inventory forecasting, and develop effective upsell and cross-sell initiatives. Reducing stock-outs and shrinkage, increasing conversion rates, and raising the average transaction value are also priorities.

The partner is expected to implement a technology-enabled retail strategy following industry best practices for major venues, incorporating integrated POS systems, real-time inventory management, mobile payment solutions, data analytics dashboards, and omnichannel retail solutions such as pre-ordering, pick-up, and online integration. The operational model must be scalable to accommodate large-scale events. A one-year contract will be awarded, and interested vendors are encouraged to attend a site visit and submit questions by the specified deadlines.
