Restoration Planning and Implementation Software

The province of Alberta is seeking software solutions to enhance the planning and implementation of ecosystem restoration projects. The required software should support a wide range of functions, including project coordination, tracking, mapping, and workflow automation—all with the aim of supporting large-scale environmental restoration efforts such as mass tree plantings on seismic lines.

The software must facilitate alignment with sub-regional plans, indigenous partnerships, and industry-led projects. Key features should include customizable interfaces for contractors to upload spatial data products, tracking of seedling orders, and delineation of project boundaries using relevant datasets such as access routes and seismic lines. The solution should also be capable of generating and sharing project budgets, and provide mapping tools with customizable templates that can integrate agency spatial data as well as additional geospatial datasets.

By modernizing these processes, Alberta aims to reduce planning and implementation costs, improve data tracking and forecasting, and increase efficiency across multiple restoration initiatives.
