A government authority located in Washington, DC is seeking services to advance the reprocessing and valorization of mineral legacy resources. The project aims to develop actionable global knowledge and a practical toolkit to enable responsible reprocessing of mining tailings and waste, covering aspects such as the current state of the art in reprocessing, mineral potential, investment incentives, legal and regulatory considerations, technology assessment (including proven and emerging methods), project economics, and associated environmental, social, and macroeconomic benefits.
The scope includes translating research findings into policy and investment guidance, as well as consolidating lessons learned into a compendium of best practices. The ultimate goal is to support responsible and sustainable reprocessing of mineral tailings and legacy materials, benefitting government authorities, investors, and policymakers.
