Replace Condensate Lines and Pumps Construction

The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan is conducting market research to identify qualified small business contractors for a project to replace condensate lines and pumps. The scope of work involves removing, resizing, and replacing condensate steam lines and pumps, pressure reducing valves (PRVs), adding bypass lines, replacing high pressure condensate (HPC) traps, addressing associated asbestos, replacing a 6-inch steam valve from the 8 MPS header in the sub-basement, and other related construction tasks as specified in the project documents and drawings.

Interested firms must be capable of providing all necessary labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, licenses, certificates, insurance, temporary protection, and other project requirements under NAICS Code 238220 – Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors. The anticipated period of performance for this work is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. This effort is focused on gathering information about the capabilities of small businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, to determine the appropriate set-aside requirements for this future construction opportunity.
