The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is seeking bids for the replacement of windows in Building 1 at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Building 1 is a historic facility dating from 1949, encompassing approximately 618,000 square feet and housing core hospital functions such as surgical and ambulatory centers, pharmacies, clinics, administrative offices, emergency services, laboratories, research, long-term care, mental health units, intensive care, an auditorium, commercial kitchens, retail spaces, and support areas.
The scope of work includes professional services in structural and architectural disciplines, general demolition and construction activities, interior and exterior alterations, and the necessary removal of existing structures to facilitate the window replacement project. The contract will be a single firm–fixed–price award under an Invitation for Bids (IFB), set aside exclusively for Service–Disabled Veteran–Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). The estimated construction value is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000, with an anticipated duration of approximately 450 days from the notice to proceed.
