DESCRIPTION
The Department of the Interior and Indian Health is seeking a vendor to provide remote medical coding services. Services must be rendered in a manner that ensures minimal disruption to government operations, while safeguarding government personnel, property, and patient information. The chosen vendor is required to supply all labor, certified coding professionals, computer equipment, secure internet connectivity, software, and documentation needed to perform medical coding remotely via secure IHS network access.
All work must be conducted in compliance with applicable federal regulations, CMS coding guidelines, Indian Health Service (IHS) policies, and the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work. Responsibilities include addressing medical coding backlogs, updating patient records, providing supplemental coverage during staff shortages or leaves, and responding to sudden changes in workload.
