DESCRIPTION

The Regional District Economic Development team in British Columbia is seeking a vendor to develop a comprehensive regional tourism strategy. The selected service provider will work closely with the regional team to create a detailed workplan for all activities related to the Tourism Strategy's development and implementation.

Key responsibilities include formulating collaborative engagement strategies that facilitate continuous feedback and active listening, ensuring these approaches are tailored to diverse stakeholder groups. The engagement must leverage a mix of virtual tools and in-person opportunities. The vendor will be required to thoroughly review existing regional tourism plans, data, and materials to accurately assess the current landscape.

The plan should clearly outline priorities, action areas, and practical implementation considerations, while also including a robust communications approach to support the Regional agency in rolling out the strategy.

The contract will be for a period of one year, with questions due by May 19, 2026.
