Recreational Sport Officiating Services

A government authority in Colorado is seeking qualified individuals or organizations to provide officiating services for various recreational sports leagues including Adult Softball, Senior Softball, Adult Basketball, Youth Basketball, and on-call officiating for Adult Volleyball Leagues. The selected contractor must supply enough qualified officials to cover all league games scheduled on the same day, including regular seasons, playoffs, and championships, ensuring that each game has the appropriate number of officials as specified (at least one umpire per adult softball game and approximately two officials per basketball game).

Officials are required to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the first game to inspect facilities, equipment, and ensure safe playing conditions. The contractor will also be responsible for providing a designated coordinator to act as the main point of contact with the agency for scheduling, performance, and administrative matters. Accurate records of games officiated, including details on dates, locations, teams, and assigned officials, must be maintained, and monthly invoices detailing all officiating services rendered are required. Replacement officials should be provided as needed to minimize disruption due to absences or emergencies. The contract period is set for one year.
