The City of Ontario is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a comprehensive Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tracking system to manage critical election supplies and equipment. This project includes furnishing and implementing all necessary hardware and software, along with ongoing support services.
The system will be used to track up to 2,000 mobile supply carts and skidded or packaged election supplies within the election warehouse, as well as to confirm the real-time delivery and return of these items at various locations throughout the city. The solution must improve inventory accuracy for essential items such as marked ballots and USB flash drives, including those stored in secured warehouse areas.
Key requirements involve deploying easily readable RFID labels, enabling real-time notifications when items are delivered or returned, and implementing user-friendly scanning technology for election event staff. The vendor will also provide initial staff training and ensure the system includes a web-based interface to allow for remote connectivity. The overall goal is to facilitate efficient tracking, reduce human error, and streamline accountability for all critical election-related materials.
