The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, intends to issue a sole source order for Radformation software solutions to support Radiation Oncology treatment planning at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. This procurement includes several Radformation software products, such as AutoContour Radiotherapy Automated Contouring Software, EZFluence Automated 3D Planning Software, ClearCheck Treatment Plan Evaluation Software, ClearCalc Secondary Calculation Software, and ChartCheck Treatment Evaluation Software. All products are annual subscriptions and will be used with two LINAC accelerators.
These software solutions are vital for improving precision, efficiency, and safety within the VA's radiation therapy planning operations. The automation capabilities provided by Radformation streamline workflows across contouring, planning, evaluation, and implementation, enhancing patient care and reducing planning time. The software suite is fully compatible and integrated with the Varian Eclipse treatment planning systems used in the facility, ensuring consistency and reducing errors.
Radformation software's proprietary nature and its unique compatibility and clinical validation make it the only option feasible for the VA's requirements. Procuring alternative solutions would mean significant workflow changes, additional training, potential incompatibilities, and possible delays or increased cost. As such, the VA intends to negotiate only with Radformation Inc. for a firm-fixed-price purchase order with base and two option years.
