DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Ventura, California seeks a vendor to provide public library print materials and related services. The scope includes supplying new print materials suitable for all public library collection age levels, including adult, young adult, and children's materials. Materials must be available in English, Spanish, and bilingual Spanish, and offered in various formats such as hardcover, paperback (trade and mass market), library binding, large print, and board books.

Vendors must also support a centralized administrative system for managing individual shopping carts, providing full visibility into claims, order status, account balances, and statements. Comprehensive bibliographic data is required for materials selection, including author, title, edition, publisher, publication date, pages, series, ISBN, binding, format, headings or categories, cover image, availability, pricing, and reviews if available. The system should facilitate duplicate checking against both previous orders and the Library’s public catalogs in real time. It must allow searching by common library selectors’ fields, with sorting by publication date and price, and batch ISBN input capability. Additionally, cart sharing, merging, and individual expenditure tracking are required features.

The initial contract is set for one year, and all vendor questions must be submitted by March 30, 2026.
