A Texas public library is seeking a vendor to deliver a comprehensive digital experience redesign platform, tailored specifically for library services. The project encompasses a Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution that must integrate seamlessly with the library’s existing discovery layer and mobile application, as well as fulfill all requirements laid out in the Requirements Traceability Matrix. Core functionalities include event calendaring, email newsletters, real-time analytics, and internal link suggestions for SEO and navigation.
The solution must allow for seamless transitions between various systems to ensure a cohesive user journey, providing vendor-managed hosting, platform maintenance, robust security, scalability, and extensibility for future API integrations. A continuous UX approach is required; this includes ongoing UX consulting and training for library staff, focusing on accessibility and sustained patron engagement. The platform should support analytics tools such as SiteImprove and Google Analytics, offer social media integration, and provide both a public-facing and staff-facing space management system for reserving library spaces. Visual interfaces must track and report user journeys, connect activities to demographic and library system data, and facilitate marketing emails to patrons based on user behavior.
The solution is expected to integrate with the CMS and other library software, and to include comprehensive management features covering event scheduling and space reservation workflows.
